My name is Brian Artzt. I am currently in my sixteenth year working with the Department of Education. I began my career as a paraprofessional working with special education students in 2007. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary English Education from Brooklyn College in 2011. In 2012, I became a substitute teacher for half the year. At the start of the 2012-2013 school year, I became a full-time high school English teacher.

Currently, I am working at Bronx Health Sciences High School as a the assistant principal. This is an amazing school and I absolutely love everything about it. My students are very dedicated to their classes and are focused on being active members in the school community.

Overall, my vision as an educator and administrator is not only to teach students skills and content, but to teach them about the real world and make them well-rounded individuals who are college and/or career ready. My goal is to ensure that my staff and I are able to provide students with a dynamic education that encourages them to achieve their highest goals and to love themselves more than anyone could ever love them. I will always go above and beyond for my students, and they know that they can come to me for absolutely anything and I will always be there to assist beyond their four years in high school.
